When my emotions are roused and inner feelings stirred thence spring forth thoughts coagulating as poetry.

I have been writing poems from my childhood, never examining it from the point of its purpose or utility. I took to writing poetry when I saw that writing poetry was no more subject to certain traditional rigors—no metre, no rhyme—and giving free statement to one’s feelings is all that is required. I went on writing, but not for any recognition or laurels. For me, poetry is the statement of the explosions in the silences of my mind. These are poetic manifestations of tumult in my inner self. I am reproducing some of my recent poems here.
